Warren Buffett pays even less tax
Warren Buffett has already pleased us with his declarations on tax: highlighting how ridiculous it is that he pays a lower tax rate than anyone else in his office (he also famously called the complex securities at the center of today’s troubles “financial weapons of mass destruction”)
Here he is again, in the New York Times:
To help pay for the rescue, the government should raise taxes on the wealthy, Mr. Buffett suggested. “I’m paying the lowest tax rate that I’ve ever paid in my life,” he said. “Now, that’s crazy.”
