Netherlands beefs up tax-dodger hunt

From the Financieele Dagblad, via the NY Times:

"The Netherlands is adding 200 new employees to sniff out undeclared assets outside the country, Jan Kees de Jager, the finance minister, told the Dutch financial daily Het Financieele Dagblad in an interview published Monday.

The 15 officials presently assigned to detect tax evasion will see their team grow 14 times larger. The 10 experts in the tax service and five at the Dutch antifraud agency, or Fiod, who have been responsible for making inquiries with foreign governments, will have reinforcements to process new information recovered as the hunt for tax evaders heats up."

We know these things pay for themselves. Time now for other governments to follow suit.
