Ashcroft is a non-dom

We have written on several occasions about Britain's notorious "domicile" rule giving special treatment to the super-wealthy (by exempting their non-UK sourced income from tax), and we have also pointed on several occasions to the "non-dom" status of Michael Ashcroft, arguably the most important financier of Britain's pro-offshore Conservative Party, which may well be in power in very short order. This specific question has exercised British political commentators for years, as you can see here.

Now, at last, Ashcroft has been forced to admit it: he is a non-dom.
