Number crunching: aid versus tax

As a reminder of something we've noted before, from our quotations page:
Up to now, support for revenue and customs sectors has attracted a minimal share of aid, of around 0.1% of official development assistance annually.

If Africa were a single country, collected taxes represent more than ten times the amount of aid the region receives.
