TJN among the 21 biggest influences in tax today
From the International Tax Review:
"To mark the 21st birthday of International Tax Review in November 2010, the editorial staff of the magazine decided to choose the 21 most influential people or organisations in tax today."
It's subscription-only, so we can't link to it, but here are a few names on the list.
Well, there is Max Baucus Chairman, US Senate Finance Committe, The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), Jeffrey Owens Director, OECD Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, SSN Moorthy Chairman, Central Board of Direct Taxes, India, the UN Tax Committee, and various other high-profile names.
And there is also, on page 10, the Tax Justice Network. The details of its founding aren't quite correct as written there, but it is a nice write-up. And there, too, are our close allies Christian Aid and ActionAid. Quite right too.
