Tax Havens and "gentlemen of fortune"
The New York Times has published an interesting article by Nancy Folbre, professor of economics at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, on corporate taxation and tax havens. She cites Nick Shaxson's Treasure Islands extensively.
Her opening paragraph, and the accompanying graph of corporate taxation relative to US gross domestic product, tell a depressing story about tax injustice over the past half century as the tax charge has shifted remorselessly from capital onto labour.

I think the Article from The Times is the same as this article in The Australian which is not behind a pay wall.
