Power, Finance and Democracy: Is The City Good for London ?
The economic power of The City impacts on the rest of London and beyond. But are the interests of The City also the interests of London? In the run-up to the Mayoral and Assembly elections, we ask whether it is London's people or businesses who really hold power, and who should be the priority?
Mayoral candidates have been invited to answer questions about their relationship with the City with the help of Nicholas Shaxson, author of Treasure Islands, Chris Cummings, CE of City UK, and Tamasin Cave, founder of the Alliance for Lobbying Transparency, in an event chaired by Siobhan Kennedy, Business Correspondent at Channel 4 News.
Please come to the Great Hall, Bishopsgate Institute, Liverpool Street, on March 22nd at 6.30pm with your own questions.
