Treasure Islands and the Men who Stole the World
This is a moment TJN has been waiting for, for a long time. The UK launch of Nicholas Shaxson's flagship book Treasure Islands and the Men who Stole the World. Shaxson has worked closely with TJN in its writing.
We are delighted that the Guardian newspaper has run a serialisation of the book, and the first piece, entitled The Truth about Tax Havens, was followed by Part II, shortly afterwards. More to come.
There has been widespread praise for the book.
The publisher, Random House, has signed deals with eight other publishers around the world so far, and more are expected. A third reprint has already been ordered, since sales have already been so strong. TJN is also now working on a major documentary thriller, Cashback, to accompany and complement the book.
The next publication will be a slightly slimmed-down version of Treasure Islands in the United States, due in April.

The ancestors of these people started off by stealing Britain. First after the Norman Conquest, then the Reformation, then with the "legal" robbery of land enclosures of 1760 to 1840, and finishing with the Highland Clearances.
Theft, all of it. We should rise up and take it back.
This is the book I have been waiting for; a text that clearly explains the messy state we're in and its root causes. For a long time I have felt discouraged by the dominance of libertine, free market ideas in the political debate which have not been sufficiently held up to scrutiny. New Labour caved in to City interests without a hint of an apology. So change must be brought about by other means. Nicholas Shaxson's book has reinvigorated me - a clarion call for justice and fairness.
